Your alias. Your choice.

Accounts

Your account has an alias, a random identifier, passkey public keys and labels, a hashed recovery code and the records needed to secure sign-in. We never ask for an email address, password, real name or account origin.

Your passkey private key and biometric verification stay with your device or passkey provider. We do not receive your fingerprint or face data. Your provider manages any passkey synchronization.

Your browser origin

The origin preference is a first-party cookie containing only a country code. It is never stored on your account. Change it or use the visible forget control to clear it.

Language preferences

Interface and reading preferences are stored in a first-party browser cookie, not on your account. Change them in the language controls or clear site cookies to remove them.

Experiences and bookmarks

Your alias is hidden on all existing and new experiences by default. You can show or hide it for all your experiences from your profile. Showing it lets readers link your experiences across countries. When visible, changing your alias updates past experiences. Readers see the migration category, optional origin and arrival, and month and year. Origin and arrival are never stored on your account. Leave out identifying details when you write.

Bookmarks and all your experiences are available on your profile. Older unpublished experiences stay private until you save an edit that AI moderation approves. Opening the editor does not send them for review.

AI moderation

When you submit a new experience or save an edit, its title and text are sent through TokenGate to its configured AI provider to check for spam, harassment, threats and identifying details. We do not send your alias, account identifier, passkeys, recovery code or bookmarks with that request. The text itself can contain identifying details, so leave those out.

Approved submissions are saved and published immediately. Rejected submissions are not saved on this site. If moderation fails or rejects your submission, the form keeps your text so you can edit or retry while the page stays open. TokenGate and its provider process submitted text under their own data-handling policies. AI moderation does not verify legal accuracy.

Illustrations are generated from an experience's title and text, sent through TokenGate to its configured AI provider without your alias or account identifier.

Saving an edit reviews the complete proposed title and text. Approval saves the changes and publishes the experience, including an older unpublished one. Until approval, published experiences stay live and unpublished experiences stay private. Rejected or failed edits are not saved on this site. Untouched experiences are not reviewed automatically.

Human verification

Account creation, experience submission and editing use Cloudflare Turnstile to block automated abuse. Cloudflare processes IP addresses and browser signals for this check. We do not send your experience text, alias or account identifier to Turnstile.

Verification must succeed before account creation or AI moderation. If it fails or is unavailable, your form stays editable so you can retry.

External services

Fonts and flag images are hosted on this site. Protected forms load Cloudflare's security script; other pages load no third-party scripts. Official source links open without sending a referrer.

The hosting infrastructure processes network requests, including IP addresses. An alias cannot make identifying details in your experience private.

Legacy records

Older account names have been replaced with generated aliases. Unreachable legacy email, password and origin columns remain until a separate cleanup migration.
